Acre is delighted to be partnered with one of the best recognised environmental services businesses to identify a Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an eager and intelligent SHEQ professional to join an internationally acclaimed business with a strong reputation in the environmental sector.

The organisation will also offer full support in training and development, as well as fast-paced progression through the IOSH membership scheme.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Work with the site to ensure than an effective and up to date hazard identification and risk assessment software is in place

  • Liaise with authorities, regulatory and other bodies to ensure legal compliance

  • Managing environmental and sustainability reporting programmes

  • Ensure SHEQ requirements are effectively communicated through site inductions and SHEQ competency programmes

  • Oversee the site's Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality management systems

  • Work alongside customers to develop waste segregation policy and build long term relationships

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience in the Healthcare, Environmental Services or Waste sectors

  • Extensive management systems experience

  • Technical experience and knowledge of HTM 07 01

  • Strong data management skills, ideally a proficient user of Excel

  • Excellent influencing and networking skills

  • A proven ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

  • Ambitious and results-driven with a strong desire to exceed expectations both internally and externally

  • A desire to learn quickly and adapt positively to changing business demands
