It's an exciting time to be joining the team, as Sedex is at the start of an ambitious five-year growth strategy to increase its customer base and revenue, in pursuit of its mission to impact the lives of workers in supply chains.
This new role will play an important part in leading on the development of social impact at Sedex, a vital part of the Responsible Sourcing team. This includes definition and collation of relevant information from across the business to support the measurement, reporting and continual improvement of Sedex's social impact.
This is a new role within Sedex and you'll be drawing on the expertise of your new colleagues from across the business, in order to gain insights into Sedex's impact on businesses and workers in supply chains, gathering and analysing quantitative and qualitative information and using this to inform strategic prioritisation.
You will be experienced in the language and methodologies associated with research, monitoring, evaluation and learning (RMEL), and have applied these skills within responsible sourcing. While you'll be familiar with audit methodologies, you will need to be able to think constructively about the limitations of social compliance to help inform Sedex's future direction based on the evidence that we generate.
Support the Head of Social Impact in the development and refinement of Sedex impact pathways
Liaising with Data, Tech, Relationship Management, Community and other teams, build out the social impact indicator and measurement framework
Oversee collation of evidence and learning to support continual improvement for social impact
Define, initiate and lead an internal approach to knowledge management whereby relevant information for understanding social impact is routinely shared between teams
Lead learning events for the internal team and relevant customers/external stakeholders on Sedex's social impact
Collate and analyse information collated from a range of sources on the topic of responsible sourcing and social impact, to inform the strategic direction of future product and service improvements
Identify and engage with relevant external stakeholders on the improvement of social impact indicators, methodologies, results and future solutions
Expertise in research, monitoring, evaluation and learning (RMEL), the development of impact frameworks and data collection techniques
Numerically skilled and able to analyse data to derive insight
Knowledge of responsible sourcing, supply chains and ethical trade gained from relevant in-house, academic, consulting or membership organisation experience
Effective problem solver, particularly during high-pressure situations; ability to anticipate issues and have contingency plans
Demonstrable stakeholder engagement and communications skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid change, and aptitude to work in a technology-rooted business
Proactive and collaborative team worker and ability to work with minimal direction
