Stakeholder Engagement Manager

Acre is currently working with an organisation committed to becoming a UK leader in innovative and sustainable building solutions. Having recently appointed a new Head of Sustainability the business has created a clear path to a low carbon future and is bringing in the talent to deliver it.

​

We're looking for a Stakeholder Engagement Manager to deliver on the organisation's People and Communities Pillar of their sustainability strategy. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with local stakeholders to ensure benefits for both the company and local communities.

In this role you will be:

• Proactively engaging local people, counsellors and local MPs to establish a business presence at the heart of the community

• Creating effective partnerships between external local stakeholders and the business

• Identifying sites where increased stakeholder engagement is required through various means, such as the monitoring of KPIs and site knowledge

• Developing high-quality reading material, making complex topics easily understandable and engaging

• Attending and supporting sites at a range of public meetings, consultation events and committee meetings

This is a new role where you will be able to design and implement the engagement strategy to develop the company's stakeholder engagement narrative.

Do you have?

• Experience working with local stakeholders and operational sites and insight into developing stakeholder engagement strategies

• A strong understanding of sustainability topics

• The ability to develop relationships from scratch and be able to deal with challenging situations in a cool, calm and collected manner

• Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire the confidence and trust of others
