Fairtrade is a movement for change that works directly with businesses, consumers, and campaigners to make trade deliver for farmers and workers.

The international Fairtrade system (of which Fairtrade Foundation is a member of) works on behalf of farmers and workers to drive sustainable livelihoods, empower producers and workers and make trade fair.

Acre is delighted to partner with the Fairtrade Foundation, to support in their search for a part-time Supply Chain & Programme Manager (2.5 days) to support on the management of some of Fairtrade's key supply chain partnerships, categories and programmes.

This role will sit in the Impact Directorate, comprising of four sub-teams - Supply Chain Management, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, Policy/Advocacy and Programme Partnerships. The Impact Directorate is responsible for working with various stakeholders across the value chain and within.

Fairtrade is looking for someone with a proven track record of successfully managing and building relationships independently, with strong project management, negotiation and listening skills. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of complex supply chains and an understanding of the context in which Fairtrade operates.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing impact and growth strategies for the key Fairtrade commodity supply chains to delivery Fairtrade's impact goals

  • Developing category strategies that enable stakeholders to proactively address the salient human rights issues within their supply chains

  • Managing relationships along the value chain from producer through to consumer-facing businesses

  • Provide commodity and supply chain expertise and insights both internally and externally

  • Assist the Senior Supply Chain & Programme Manager and independently drive key work streams across assigned commodities, relationships with key business, manage programmatic activity and build strong internal and external relationships

Requirements:

  • Experience working with businesses to deliver on their supply chain needs, account management, customer service, relationships management and partnership management

  • Knowledge and experience working with sustainability programmes across commodities

  • Track record of working on donor funded programmes and implementing these at origin

  • Proven experience in managing sustainable supply chains, including working to deliver impact-based goals to improve the lives of farmers and workers
