The International Tin Association (ITA) is a focal point for action and engagement on important regional and global issues affecting tin, promoting the industry worldwide and providing authority, leadership, and voice. The organisation has a strong focus on sustainability, with the association, and members working to positively impact social, economic and environmental outcomes in the sphere in which they operate.

Acre is now recruiting for a Supply Chain Standards Manager to join their dynamic team to implement, maintain and continually improve ITA's ESG standards and assurance systems to maximise transparency, value, understanding, credibility, participation, and recognition from participating tin producers and external stakeholders.

In this role you'll have the opportunity to

  • Build, maintain, and share detailed expertise on stakeholder environmental, social and governance (ESG) expectations and developments, including on key standards, assurance, and reporting programmes relevant to mineral and metal production, ITA and the Tin Code.

  • Implement the annual Tin Code reporting and improvement planning through effective liaison with participating companies and independent evaluators

  • Lead promotion and implementation of the ITA Assurance System, including engagement and management of auditors, ensuring that supporting procedures and documentation, including training materials, are clear, concise, regularly reviewed and updated.

  • Promote the Tin Code as the tin industry reporting tool by appropriate and effective communication of its standards, procedures, and results, including through a Tin Code website, consultations, webinars, news releases and annual reporting of progressive improvements.

  • To understand in-depth requirements of Tin Code Standard 7.3, including the Criteria and its associated guidance, and take the lead in supporting and training companies, auditors and communicating with relevant stakeholders.

You'll bring:

  • Significant experience in the area of commodities and sustainable supply chain management, or working with environmental and social management systems.

  • Technical understanding of key environmental and social management and good governance in supply chains.

  • A strong track record of persuasiveness in stakeholder and relationship management, including with individuals from different cultures, backgrounds, and from small business.

  • Familiarity with basic audit principles and preferably relevant audit standards and frameworks including ISAE 3000, ISO 45001, 14001.
