Are you a sustainability professional who likes pubs and beer? Can you embed sustainability into the DNA of a business, and drive change across a fun and diverse organisation? Acre is partnering with Greene King, who brews some of the country's best-known beer brands, serves millions of customers every week, and has 2,600 pubs across the UK. Greene King is seeking a Sustainability Analyst to strengthen its ESG programme and reporting. This is a new role, reporting directly to the group sustainability lead within the Corporate Affairs department.
You will be:
Leading the data collection, analysis and validation of ESG metrics for reporting whilst keeping an eye on emerging ESG trends to maintain further improvement
Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, working in partnership and being the subject matter expert for all things related to annual ESG reporting and environmental regulations
Championing sustainability across Greene King, challenging where appropriate, driving change and using your influence to develop the programme
An external representative for the company, enhancing reputation and being an ambassador of the ESG team
Supporting the ESG strategy, shaping response to environmental initiatives, and providing regular updates and presentations when required
To excel in this role, you will bring:
Expertise and experience in sustainability analysis, reporting and being a subject matter expert
Technical knowledge of issues such as waste, packaging, energy efficiency, ideally on topics like food and drink production and property
Commercially savvy mindset and pragmatic outlook
Ability to problem-solve, co-ordinating multiple data sources and streamlining
This role is based in either Bury St Edmunds or Burton upon Trent, with flexible working arrangements.
