My client is a dedicated impact bond asset management company. All their investments support the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the global Paris Agreement on climate change. They are a small-sized company with a global presence in the UK, US and Australia.
Verification is central to their business and the impact bond universe that the Sustainability team must review is growing rapidly. Verification includes assessing the potential environmental and/or social impact of a bond and the overall ESG performance of the issuer. It includes analysing the context and impact footprint and a critical assessment of the disclosure and impact reporting.
The analyst will also play a role in supporting data-driven research and analysis, particularly in the context of climate change and the role of finance in meeting the Paris targets. The analyst will be expected to have a good understanding of carbon accounting and the challenges and opportunities associated with decarbonization and the path toward a net zero economy.
