Then please continue reading. Our client, a multinational insurance group, has created an exciting new role within their recently established sustainability team. You will be responsible for co-defining the firm's strategic initiatives covering sustainability strategy, net zero target setting and sustainability communications.

What you will receive

You will be provided with the opportunity to join a firm that recognises ESG considerations as an integral part of its business strategy. Working across the group, you will work alongside stakeholders from the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Sweden, giving you insight and exposure into how an international group can assist in the transition to a sustainable future for all.

Whilst in position, you will be able to further enhance your knowledge of financial services and sustainability whilst developing your stakeholder management skills both internally and externally.

What will you do

Reporting directly to the Group Sustainability Lead, you will:

  • Recognise, analyse, and implement sustainable development opportunities and initiatives.

  • Work on climate change, biodiversity, and inclusion topics.

  • Collate, analyse, and report scope 1-3 emissions for the firm.

  • Support the definition and development of the firm's net-zero targets.

  • Assist with external engagements with rating agencies and industry bodies.

This role can be considered for hybrid working with two days per week in Preston or remote working with ad hoc travel to Preston.
