Acre is pleased to be partnering with a leading investment company, operating in the retail space. The company's portfolio is comprised of high-end outlet centres across Europe and they are looking at growing further through future acquisitions.
We are supporting them with the search for a Sustainability Director - the successful applicant will build the function and shape the organisation's future operations.
You will be responsible for:
Building a new sustainability department to deliver across strategy, certification and the organisation's "net-positive" commitments
Representing the business externally and raising the organisation's sustainability profile through relevant industry fora and stakeholder engagement
Create a compelling narrative on the benefits of sustainability for the entire organisation
Sustainability reporting and disclosure, managing key external relationships with investors and external parties
Horizon scanning for new policy and trends, driving and championing thought leadership on sustainability with key internal stakeholders
Shape the organisation's environmental vision and create an ambitious sustainability strategy which underpins their future portfolio growth plans.
You will have:
A demonstrable track record in delivering effective sustainability strategy within a corporate and commercial environment
The analytical skills to develop and monitor the roadmap and KPIs to ensure goals are achieved
The ability to build relationships and engage with a variety of teams and stakeholders
Desirable: A good knowledge of the real estate / property industry (experience of BREEAM and GRESB would be ideal)
