Do you want to take a lead role in growing, developing and managing the sustainability arm for a Fortune 500 organisation? You can now join JLL, who are looking to source a new sustainability leader to head-up their world-class sustainability practice.

The organisation shows its continuous commitment to sustainability, with the transition of their CEO, Guy Grainger, into a new role as Global Head of Sustainability Services & ESG with effect from January 1st 2020, who this role will work alongside.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking overall responsibility and management of the 50+ sustainability team, acting as the CEO of the Upstream Sustainability Practice

  • Direct line management of the Director of Sustainability Strategy, Director of Energy Services and the wider management team

  • Define and deliver on a clear growth strategy with support from wider Consulting & Advisory Executives, including the COO & UK Board lead

  • Expand service offerings, which currently operate in over 30 countries, to work with a wider range of stakeholders and sectors and support JLL's ambitions across EMEA and globally to maintain their position as a sustainability leader

  • Be a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) of the UK Business, carrying out duties as required

JLL advises investors, developers and occupiers of property around the world on all aspects of sustainability: creating net-zero road maps; developing their sustainability strategies; managing their risks, reporting, design and communications; driving environmental and energy performance improvements; and advising on socio-economic impacts and health & wellbeing.

You will be:

  • A leader who understands and values the full range of sustainability market offerings, from strategic management consultancy to net zero carbon through to social value and ESG fund creation

  • Exceptional management and team growth track record, with large headcount responsibility and full P&L ownership

  • Solid financial & business skillset including ability to set/manage growth budgets, manage investments & resourcing churn/growth of the team

  • Coach and enable the sustainability consulting management team, enabling them to bring the best out in their people through a culture of transparency, aspiration, accountability and inclusive leadership

  • A team player and collaborator who is very comfortable operating within a matrix structure - reports directly to the COO of the Upstream team
