Acre is pleased to be working on an exclusive basis with an exciting, high-profile property developer to identify their new Sustainability Manager. In this exciting, newly created role you will report to the Head of Sustainability and be embedded into their largest mixed-used development in central London. The role will involve developing and delivering on all sustainability initiatives and activities across this iconic flagship estate.

Some key objectives include:

  • To further develop and deliver the ESG/ Sustainability strategy for the estate

  • ESG/ Sustainability Reporting

  • Responsibility for driving Net Zero targets

  • Working closely with Asset Managers to incorporate sustainability in all relevant Asset Management activity

  • Working with the Sustainability Team and Managing Agents to set strategy and deliver on Estate Management

  • Work with the Social Hub to deliver on social elements & ambitions of the sustainability strategy

  • Working with occupiers to bring new initiatives in line with ESG/ Sustainability strategy

The successful candidate will have strong communications and engagement skills combined with the ability to develop long-term working relationships. You will be highly adaptable and resilient to ensure success across a growing, fast-paced environment.

Key skills and Experience

The role involves managing a wide range of inter-related projects, tasks, and teams and requires a commercial understanding, good communication skills, and the ability to deliver programmes and activities on the ground as well as strategically.

  • Highly motivated and proactive; focused on achieving and delivering technical excellence

  • Technologically astute: Knowledge of the (energy) technology sector and the energy construction services market is an advantage

  • Knowledge of carbon frameworks and terminology (e.g., SBTs, Net Zero, Carbon Neutrality, RE100, Offsetting markets, Scopes 1-3)

  • Knowledgeable and experienced in a wide range of low carbon/clean energy solutions

  • Educated to post-graduate degree level or equivalent with experience in a relevant subject

  • Successful track record in a similar capacity and/or demonstrable success in delivering projects in a consultative environment

  • An ability to manage a busy and varied workload accurately and efficiently, delivering to deadlines and managing multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Influencer - ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders, to translate sustainability requirements into required actions at an operational level
