JSG is looking for a natural innovator, able to problem solve and provide solutions to unique sustainability issues.

To excel in the role, you'll bring:

  • A demonstrable track record in sustainability and experience in either social, environmental or community-focused sustainability

  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills, able to easily build effective and transparent relationships

  • The ability to manage a complex workload, operating across multiple teams, both internally and externally

  • Subject Matter Expert and comfortable in promoting sustainability ideas and initiatives

If you're looking to run sustainability-focused projects from end to end in an empowering and collaborative environment, then this role is worth exploring.

What you'll be doing:

  • Influencing and informing key stakeholders on sustainability and its risks, value and commercial potential

  • Supporting the business to buy into and embed The Johnsons Way strategy, by delivering projects across sustainability

  • Leading and facilitating workshops, training and engagement sessions to share knowledge, progress action plans and develop ideas

  • Working across the four pillar-led working groups on their five core objectives to help drive the sustainability strategy forward

  • Collating sustainability-related data sets, producing regular sustainability KPI and performance monitoring reports, undertaking analysis of data to provide future recommendations

  • Travelling nationally to visit the different sites and developing relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring that the sustainability agenda is followed

This role will give you the opportunity to influence decision making and catalyse the sustainability strategy and buy-in throughout the business's value chain.

The role includes regular travel across the UK.
