This is an exciting time for Willmott Dixon as they look to bring in a new Assistant Sustainability Manager. Working in the award-winning Group Sustainability team, you will support the delivery of all three themes within the Now or Never Strategy but with a particular focus on the Better Planet elements.

This is a diverse role that will see you work with teams across Willmott Dixon on a wide range of sustainability topics. This is a unique opportunity to learn from those around you whilst being a vital part of a proven and passionate team.

As Assistant Sustainability Manager, you will:

  • Assist in the development of new ideas, strategies, policies and targets for the Willmott Dixon Group and its operating companies

  • Contribute to the identification, development and embedding of changes across the company's operations to deliver their sustainability commitments and targets

  • Develop collaborative partnerships and supply chain relationships in line with business strategies

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop their sustainability skills, knowledge and capability through delivering training, advice and support

  • Analyse data, conduct research and identify opportunities to implement innovative and sustainable solutions

  • Support the business to demonstrate high levels of corporate responsibility and transparency in reporting to ensure legislative compliance and maintain Willmott Dixon's industry-leading certifications and accreditations

To be successful in this role, you will possess experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Low carbon solutions & carbon reduction

  • Resource efficiency

  • Biodiversity enhancement

  • Environmental and sustainability policy and legislation

  • Behaviour & culture change

  • The ability to analyse, evaluate and report data and information

  • A proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities

  • The ability to communicate complex topics in a simple way
