Sustainability is integral to everything that Urenco does; the business is committed to leading and delivering a strategic sustainability programme through robust governance, to reaching beyond to the highest levels of social and environmental performance. With solid foundations of a programme already in place, the business is seeking a Sustainability Programme Manager that will have the vision and capabilities to bring all key stakeholders to the next level and create a future programme that Urenco and its customers can be truly proud of.

You will

  • Direct and develop the organisational-wide sustainability programme; creating the strategy and a robust programme of activity, followed up through excellent project management skills

  • Produce and publish Urenco's global Sustainability Report to GRI & manage relationships with external agencies & consultancies with respect to sustainability

  • Produce Board reports on key focus areas within Urenco's sustainability work programme and be the business go to expert on stakeholder materiality expectations

  • Ensure all non-financial data is managed, reviewed and substantiated, working with Group Sustainability Champions across the business

  • Chair Sustainability Data Working Group meetings and attend all Energy Savings Group meetings

  • Gather content on sustainability issues and case studies from across the business

  • Monitor charitable donations and sponsorships in line with the global policy

We are seeking someone who puts innovation and leadership through excellent collaboration at the heart of what they do. You will also need

  • Significant professional experience working in sustainability, with a proven understanding of how to engage internal colleagues and stakeholders on the subject

  • Experience working on sustainability issues impacting large businesses and knowledge of sustainability guidelines and frameworks

  • Knowledge of trends impacting corporate reporting, including new guidelines and directives

  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to understand different perspectives and find workable solutions
