Acre is excited to be working with a leading, award-winning supplier of ambient food products to major UK retailers in their search for a Sustainable & Ethical Sourcing Co-ordinator.

With an international supply base in over 20 countries, and exponential year on year growth, this is an exciting time to join a business looking to deepen responsible sourcing and ethical trading standards further down tiers within multiple food supply chains.

​

Reporting into the Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products supplied are sourced, packaged, and distributed sustainably and ethically.

​

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring sustainable & ethical practices within the supply chain, supporting suppliers to implement best practice and improve standards

  • Updating the organisation's Ethical Trade policy on a regular basis, and ensuring all suppliers meet this standard

  • Establishing credible relationships with customers and suppliers, promptly responding to their various requests

  • Maintaining relationships with key partners such as Sedex & BSCI

  • Developing and maintaining databases to track and report on our ethical and environmental performance

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to travel internationally to visit suppliers, gaining first-hand experience of audit procedures and other on-the-ground challenges in the supply chain.

​

Requirements include:

  • Previous experience within a responsible sourcing/sustainability/CR role, ideally in food or FMCG sectors

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills, able to influence and engage both internally and externally

  • A strong passion for ethical and sustainable sourcing

  • Ability to prioritise, multitask and meet deadlines, with a strong project-driven approach
