Our client is a globally influential institute within a leading global university, working with business, finance, government and civil society to develop leadership and solutions for a sustainable economy. They are currently recruiting a number of leadership roles to drive forward our work with the finance sector.

You will be part of an organisation who, for 30 years have worked with companies and individuals who have stepped up to lead change and to tackle critical global challenges, drawing on the intellectual breadth of the university and beyond to help leaders understand and address pressing issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, resource depletion, poverty, and inequality.

Finance is a key lever for change towards a sustainable economy and our Centre for Sustainable Finance brings together over 50 financial institutions across five continents to drive change in the finance system and help advance the transition to a more sustainable economy and society.

You will lead the strategy on one of their three programs in Banking, Insurance or Investment management and work alongside the top players in your respective sector. You will bring your knowledge of sustainable finance to lead on industry changing projects and manage relationships with C-suite executives in the sustainable finance space.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide strategic leadership for the group, working with members to ensure strategic direction, ambition and alignment

  • Work with members and academic partners to co-create thought-leading content that unlocks and mainstreams new sustainable practice, overseeing and commissioning new research and analysis

  • Ensure the platform delivers value to its members, the organisation and society in accordance with the business plan and budget, including business development (new member acquisition and funding bids).

  • Collaboration across the organisation, its network, the wider University, as well as member firms and selected external parties to amplify the work of the platform and drive impact. - Lead and build a team delivering platform content and managing member relations, reporting on the progress, including emerging issues or concerns
