Acre has partnered with one of the world's top CPG firms to find a VP of Sustainability for their global business.

Reporting to the company CEO, the VP of Sustainability will be responsible for providing leadership and management of the company's sustainability programs and performance, working with key partners as well as the executive team to establish sustainable business priorities and align efforts to support global corporate initiatives.

The successful candidate will engage cross-functionally, representing the organization internally and externally at conferences & shareholder meetings and with other key stakeholders, including media and NGOs.

Our client is seeking an individual who can effectively integrate and embed sustainability into the business by working with the regions and brands to drive progress towards global sustainability goals.

This position will be based on the East Coast and will regularly travel to the company's operations internationally. Please note this role is not remote, with the option to work x1 day weekly from home.

Responsibilities:

  • Build on the company's sustainability strategy, and develop and lead initiatives to ensure its position as the industry leader in sustainability

  • Develop sustainability reports, proposals & presentations, including the annual ESG report

  • Line manage (at least) one team member who will be responsible for sustainability data management.

  • Develop methodologies to define, standardize, and track progress toward global sustainability goals and initiatives

  • Facilitate conversations with key partners within the organization to ensure effective corporate global communication

  • Lead sustainability-related communications initiatives with external and internal stakeholders

  • Conduct sustainability or environment-related risk assessments

  • Be a thought leader on how to incorporate sustainability into business plans.

  • Review sustainability program objectives, progress and status to ensure compliance with policies, standards, regulations or laws globally.
