A practical and holistic approach to transform degraded ecosystems into vibrant landscapes and communities by focusing on 4 key returns supported by landscape zones over the course of a single generation, or 20 years.​​There is a globally growing need to reduce GHG emissions to zero in the next decades, and this becomes increasingly critical. Landscape restoration will play a crucial role in combatting climate change as the potential to use land as a Carbon sequestration mechanism is huge.​Commonland has set the goal to enter the Carbon value chain of demand and supply and has recently developed a landscape carbon strategy. Our client is a dedicated impact bond asset management company. All their investments support the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the global Paris Agreement on climate change. They are a small-sized company with a global presence in the UK, US and Australia.​Verification is central to their business and the impact bond universe that the Sustainability team must review is growing rapidly. Verification includes assessing the potential environmental and/or social impact of a bond and the overall ESG performance of the issuer. It includes analysing the context and impact footprint and a critical assessment of the disclosure and impact reporting.​The analyst will also play a role in supporting data-driven research and analysis, particularly in the context of climate change and the role of finance in meeting the Paris targets.
