A highly respected international organisation is partnering with Acre on an exclusive basis to recruit a Decarbonisation / Climate Resilience Manager. This impactful remit involves analysing some of the world's largest corporates that contribute the most to climate change through greenhouse gas emissions to enable fund managers to make better investment decisions and actively engage with and influence these companies at C-level, to adapt and decarbonise. Responsibilities also include:
  • Varied project work such as developing guidance and research papers on active ownership and contributing to shareholder resolutions
  • Designing roundtables and agendas for investor meetings
  • Occasional European travel (circa 3 times per year)
We welcome applications from a wide variety of backgrounds such as; environmental sustainability, ESG Analysis or strategic sustainability consulting. Sought:
  • Experience of working on climate change within an investment, consulting or corporate related roles
  • An understanding of corporate strategy best practices in relation to climate resilience and adaptation
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Proficient project management and organisational skills
Beneficial is experience gained in industry sectors, such as oil & gas, utilities, power, mining, transportation, food, industrials or chemicals. This is an opportunity to play an essential role in the transition to a low carbon economy affecting change to how capital markets and the corporates within them operate.
