Corporate Engagement Manager Acre is incredibly excited to partner with Plastic Oceans (UK) to source an ambitious, energetic and assertive Corporate Engagement Manager. This newly created role will provide an ambitious individual with an opportunity to help shape the organisation's future and turn awareness into action by activating young people as agents of change. Plastic Oceans (UK) is a dedicated non-profit organisation who first defined their mission to, 'End plastic entering the ocean within a generation' in 2009. Since then they have been at the forefront of raising awareness of plastic pollution - including production of the award-winning feature length film A Plastic Ocean. This role with initially report directly to the CEO with responsibilities to include:
  • Identifying, developing and managing relationships with corporate partners that can expand the reach and impact of their youth activation and insights work
  • Working effectively with the wider Plastic Oceans (UK) team to develop challenges and content aimed at employers and employees
  • Raising the profile of Plastic Oceans (UK) in the corporate sector by attending and contributing to industry forums and partnership initiatives
  • Planning both short and long-term engagement programmes
  • Sharing current sector trends and developments while identifying fundable projects
  • Ensuring effective account planning and marking of key relationships and targets

  • Previous, relevant and tangible corporate engagement and multiple account management experience; preferably within a corporate CR role or non-profit organisation
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to engage at all levels
  • A passion and enthusiasm for the sustainability/environmental sector
  • Flexibility, emotional intelligence, self-awareness, a pro-active and inspiring nature and ability to persuade others
  • Being comfortable with ambiguity and motivated by the challenge for developing a network of corporate partners dedicated to support the Plastic Oceans' (UK) mission
