Acre is pleased to be working exclusively with a leading corporate actions advisory firm to recruit an Account Manager to join the London office, as part of a wider global team. This is an opportunity to continue their legacy of providing exceptional service to an impressive array of issuers and investment clients across their expanding, and well recognised business.

Working across exciting projects such as M&A, takeovers, shareholder activism and proxy voting for AGMs, this key position involves providing insight and communicating the outcome of analytical reports to clients. The successful hire will enjoy developing and managing a book of existing client relationships.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting issuer clients during the AGM season; advising on anticipated shareholder voting plans and advise on how to reduce and manage the related risks
  • Maintaining a line of communication with investors to ascertain stances on corporate actions
  • Consulting to corporate clients on business-critical initiatives such as hostile M&A and investor activism
  • To help achieve outcomes, manage relationships and communicate with key stakeholders such as banker, lawyers and PR firms
  • Compiling and presenting reports to clients in person to help foster trust and further build relationships

The successful candidate can come from a broad range of different backgrounds such as corporate governance, proxy voting, sell side-analysis, ESG analysis, corporate finance through to remuneration consultants. The key is the ability to apply related experience and knowledge of this corporate actions and advisory business.

Sought:

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills
  • Analytical skills; the ability to interpret and analyse reports to generate advice and high-level summaries
  • Strong project management ability
