Acre are working exclusively with a market leading FTSE250 financial services and investment management business to recruit a Corporate Responsibility (CR) Manager. This is a newly created remit that will enable our client to leverage their positive achievements to date and aid greater innovation within the business.
Reporting directly into the executive leadership team, the CR Manager will have the autonomy and capability to drive change and implement a series of new group-wide corporate responsibility programmes.
Working closely with business leads, the programmes span Environment, People, Social & Community Investment and Governance & Investment Stewardship.
Key responsibilities include:
Implement new policies and practices
Ownership and leadership of the Social & Community Investment workstream to include:
Conducting a review of existing charitable giving and volunteering programmes with a view to developing the existing themes of education and youth development
Enabling and increasing employee volunteering, and related learning and development opportunities
Managing and building relationships with all key community partners, charities and social enterprises
Working collaboratively with key internal stakeholders and third-party service providers to evolve the environmental strategy and set targets on carbon, waste and energy
Develop and improve reporting frameworks and methodologies
Leading on the publication of an annual CR report
The successful candidate will have an interest in further developing their CR experience in the financial services and investment sector, plus will demonstrate:
Experience of implementing and contributing to the advancement of community investment and corporate responsibility programmes
Experience of working cross functionally and engaging with and motivating stakeholders at all levels to drive change
Creativity, resourcefulness, initiative and a passion for keeping abreast of sustainability and corporate responsibility issues across the industry
