Digital Skills Manager, Policy

As part of this newly created team, you will be responsible for shaping and developing the international policy landscape on digital skills and helping to position BT at the forefront of this. You will build a network of advocates and represent BT across a variety of industry and government fora.


  • Drive BT's technical engagement with key international groups such as the Coalition for Digital Intelligence led by WEF and OECD
  • Inform and guide BT's senior leadership team on global developments in digital skills
  • Write and deliver content relating to digital skills and BT's position in response to key issues including succinct briefs for the c-suite, drafting speeches and associated materials
  • Advise and upskill senior leaders across Corporate Affairs and beyond at BT on international policy related to digital skills

You will provide the crucial knowledge which will underpin BT's evolving digital skills programme and have influence at all levels of the business and with key influencers and decision makers internationally.

Experience Required:

  • Expertise in digital skills and education curricula
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with experience of distilling complex messages
  • Ability to translate complex international policy into informed content for BT
  • A natural capacity to build strong and symbiotic relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • A track record of developing global partnerships with organisations such as the World Economic Forum
  • Strong commercial acumen
