Acre is delighted to be partnering with WeForest; the international non-profit developing high-quality reforestation projects in the tropics to combat global warming, in their search for a Director of Partnerships.

WeForest are a solutions-driven non-profit based in Brussels who partners with over 250 corporates across mainland Europe to restore forests in the tropics which have been devastated by growing deforestation over the last 30 years.

The Director of Partnerships is a newly created role to drive further successful engagement with new and existing corporate partners, with the view to creating a team to deliver on expansion into academic, governmental and civil spheres.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the department to ensure that all partners receive regular engagement via meetings, communication materials and reports
  • Developing and implementing tools for effective account management, tracking and partner engagement
  • Working with the CEO to establish and onboard large partners
  • Anticipating demand and participate in capacity planning with Operations
  • Representing WeForest externally at public speaking opportunities

Reporting to the CEO and line managing a team of 2, the successful candidate will have extensive partnerships experience with a strong track record of establishing and growing large accounts.

In addition to this you will have:

  • A deep understanding of sustainability topics including carbon footprinting and carbon standards, LCA, SDGs
  • Influencing and management skills at all levels of an organisation, including executive and c-suite
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects to the highest standard and delivering to strict timelines
  • A "can do" attitude whilst being flexible, agile and demonstrate modesty
  • Written and verbal English must be impeccable, French and/or Dutch language skills a plus
