Acre is excited to be working with the fastest growing aerospace technology manufacturer in the US to source an EHS Manager. A qualified candidate will be responsible for effective implementation of all EHS activities within their Orange County site. They will also manage the wastewater treatment department; including supervision of operators and co-oversight of the maintenance team. Duties and responsibilities includes:
  • Works directly with the General Manager to define effective injury prevention activities and goals for plant supervisors and managers
  • Interfaces with outside regulatory agencies to secure permits and enforcement compliance
  • Establishes requirements to the facility personnel in the handling of hazardous materials and hazardous waste and wastewater
  • Negotiates with vendors for pricing of services, writes CER's, and creates and implements relevant programs
  • Hands-on Manager with experience of daily operations and the management and training of maintenance and operations personnel
  • Establishes safety training requirements and presentations such that employees understand and follow the directions identified in Job Safety Analysis (JSA), PPE Assessments, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and all Safety Procedures and Alerts
  • Supports Business Continuity Management / Disaster Recovery Plan
Essential knowledge and experience includes:
  • Has advanced English and mathematical skills, statistical techniques experience, presentation and facilitation skills, negotiation and general interpersonal ability, with and understanding of cultural diversity
  • Has good reading vision, color discrimination, hearing perception, and communicates clearly
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Awareness of ITAR Regulations and ISO 9001 standards is preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
