Acre is excited to be partnering with a growing, global manufacturer in Orange County to source a Health and Safety Coordinator. The successful candidate will collaborate with all areas of the business to evaluate and analyze hazardous situations, prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment.

ESSENTIAL ROLE FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  • Conduct monthly safety performance audits and develop and track action items based on results
  • Perform specialized department and/or monthly management training as required or as appropriate
  • Facilitate the established biohazard waste disposal program and the maintenance of appropriate safety records
  • Facilitate vehicle equipment and emergency management programs while conducting annual employee evacuation drills
  • Assist departments with the development of JSA's or one of several safety-related items or projects
  • Coordinate Site Safe Work, Emergency Response, Contractor Safety, Incident/Accident/Illness Injury Investigations and General Safety Procedures and/or Programs
  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) on industrial safety and health regulations, policies, standards, and programs

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Broad knowledge of health and safety regulations, California Code of Regulations and Title 8
  • Environmental regulatory knowledge is a plus
  • Tangible experience working in health and safety
  • Experience in implementing safety programs in a manufacturing environment is required
  • Bi-Lingual (Spanish is essential)
  • Valid California Driver's License or ability to obtain one
  • College degree or accredited certificate in Occupational Safety, Engineering or Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Safety industry certification preferred
