We are excited to be partnering with an ambitious and rapidly growing consumer goods manufacturer in Atlanta to source an ambitious and ethical EHS leader. This important role will oversee all EHS site activities as well as provide the support needed to create a "beyond compliance" safety and environmental program. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build, implement and maintain a robust, best-in-class EHS program which reflects the organization's safety objectives and corporate pillars
  • Manage the hazardous waste treatment department; including supervision of all operators
  • Establish and report key EHS performance metrics utilizing data to drive employee engagement and create and foster a proactive and empowered safety culture across the site(s)
  • Partner with the General Manager, Director of EHS and other key leadership to define effective injury prevention activities and goals for site supervisors and managers
  • Interface with outside regulatory agencies to secure permits and enforcement compliance
  • Monitor, record and establish requirements to the facility personnel in the handling of all hazardous materials and hazardous waste
  • Train and mentor employees on safety leadership, and manage all environmental, health & safety programs within the facility

Essential Knowledge and Skills

  • Advanced English and mathematical skills and understanding of cultural diversity
  • Assertive, strong communication and proven leadership ability
  • Ability to adjust to flexible working conditions and think quickly on your feet
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations (required) and ISO 9001 and 14001 standards (preferred)
  • CSP or other development certification (preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field
  • Ability to travel when required
