Acre is working with a fast-growing energy management organization in the Northeast to source a proven leader who will oversee EHS&S for their site in Rhode Island. Our client aims to solve the world's most difficult energy and power management challenges with sustainable, long-term solutions. Specific responsibilities for this unique role include:

  • Supporting the site in achieving EHS targets and objectives in support of corporate and business group initiatives
  • Facilitating risk assessment and developing a long-term safety culture to create targets and objectives based on key EHS metrics
  • Supporting the creation of EHS goals for the site manager, leadership team, and other key stakeholders to drive an EHS culture and have impact
  • Developing and facilitating EHS engagement through teams and committees to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for country, state, and local regulations
  • Pursuing third party recognition for programs that establish the site as world class
  • Utilizing and managing data processes to create training programs and ensure a long-term risk management program is established and successful

Specific qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant EHS subject matter
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution is preferred but not mandatory
  • Proven and successful leadership experience in EHS is critical
  • Previous experience in a management position, successfully leading and mentoring teams
  • Program management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Professional certification (Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) is preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
