Acre has been engaged by Landsec, one of the world's leading property development and investment companies, to identify a talented Energy Bureau Manager to join their industry-leading sustainability team.

In this post, you will provide a comprehensive and fully integrated technical service for their Energy Bureau Billing service across the whole of the portfolio, managing the Bureau team and taking responsibility for setting the £25million annual utility budget.

You’ll be working for the company who own some of the most successful and recognisable property assets in the UK. In London, Landsec’s buildings include the iconic Piccadilly Lights and developments such as Nova and The Zig Zag Building, SW1 which have transformed Victoria into a vibrant new destination.

Taking accountability for Strategic Oversite you will lead on content for the Energy Risk Committee to ensure members are fully briefed on the risk and opportunities of Landsec's Utilities market position.

You’ll be joining a FTSE 100 company with the ambition to lead the industry on sustainability. This is reflected by 100% of their electricity being procured from renewable sources with 15% of their gas supply coming from green biogas across the whole portfolio.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Managing the procurement of all utility (electricity, gas and water), maximising their contribution to Landsec's Vision and Values
  • Developing and implementing a strategy for improving Bureau performance
  • Build recharging tools for complex sites, using advanced excel functions, formulae and macros to deliver half hourly production data for HVAC consumption
  • Creating synergies between energy managers, site teams and bureau staff, ensuring seamless flow of information such as, bill management and energy consumption trends
  • Managing the Bureau team including recruitment, performance reviews, regular updates, team meetings and learning development plans to ensure high performance

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a strong technical knowledge and have previous experience of working in or managing an energy bureau.

The successful individual will also have:

  • Recharging experience
  • Strong working knowledge of the utility markets
  • Detailed energy management knowledge
  • Proven experience of delivering energy bureau services
  • Team management
  • Highly advanced Microsoft Excel skills
