Acre have been exclusively engaged by BT, one of the world's largest communication services companies, who are seeking an engaging Energy Compliance Professional to join their market leading Bristol team.
This role will allow BT to deliver on its purpose and strategic goals to achieve net zero carbon emissions of 2045. The team manages environmental risk for BT globally and provides the central coordination and management for all operational areas.
Duties of the role
Managing the UK Energy Aspect in line with ISO14001 certified EMS
Developing the EMS to the ISO50001 standard, including 1st line assurance across operational delivery and EMS processes
Owning a BT wide energy engagement programme Ensuring BT is compliant with all UK Energy and Carbon legislation
Delivering all energy related reporting including support of DIS reporting commitments (annual reporting, CDP etc), Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS), Streamlined Energy Carbon Reporting (SECR) & ESOS
Supporting the wider EMS and Energy Team

Experience you would be expected to have
An industry-recognised subject matter expert
Professionally certified or working towards accreditation such as Member of the Energy Institute or Chartered Energy Manager
Demonstrable experience in Energy Management and Control including delivering legal and regulatory aspects and reporting
Absolute focus on protecting BT, its people, their customers and the communities and environments in which they work and operate
Strong risk management ethos
