Acre is excited to be working with a market-leading Facilities Management provider to manage a number of key hires into one of their flagship financial services accounts.

We're looking for an accomplished Environmental Manager to drive exceptional environmental performance throughout the client portfolio. With an in-depth understanding of how environmental factors affect both workspace experience and organisational performance, you'll help shape corporate strategy and culture and lead by example in promoting the environmental improvement agenda.

You'll utilise expertise in waste and recycling, air quality, staff wellbeing and more, working closely with counterparts in water and energy to deliver training programmes to stakeholders at all levels in a UK-wide capacity.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Oversight and management of the account's Environmental strategy, database and communications
  • Delivering the internal environmental management system, supporting audits and accreditations and preparing for external certification
  • Monitoring industry improvements and initiatives, seeking opportunities to innovate and maintain consistently high 'best-in-class' standards
  • Working with internal and client stakeholders, and particularly Energy and Waste Managers, to agree continuous improvement targets and monitor progress on live initiatives
  • Reviewing and reporting on environmental performance with business leaders, identifying opportunities to collaborate and support all areas of the client business

To succeed, you'll need:

  • Degree-level qualification in an environmental or relevant scientific discipline
  • Significant experience of relevant environmental management positions
  • Demonstrable commitment to professional development, e.g. membership of a relevant professional body
  • Excellent management, organisational and communication skills
  • Experience of project management, reporting and presenting
  • Genuine enthusiasm for sustainability and effecting positive change
