Acre is incredibly excited to once again partner with Plastic Oceans (UK) to source a passionate, experienced and talented Global Campaign Director. This newly created role will provide an ambitious individual with an opportunity to lead a global campaign and turn awareness into action by activating young people as agents of change.
Plastic Oceans is a dedicated non-profit organisation who first defined their mission to, 'End plastic reaching the ocean within a generation' in 2009. Since then they have been at the forefront of raising awareness of plastic pollution - including production of the award-winning feature length film A Plastic Ocean.
This role will report to the CEO, Simon Usher, and work closely with the Founder, Jo Ruxton, and the rest of the Plastic Oceans team. Responsibilities for this unique position include:
Creation of a globally credible, locally relevant strategy, narrative and call for action
Building a global crowd, through both new and old power approaches
Identifying and securing partners for impact and reach
Inspiring a team and partners, committed to the cause
Fostering a learning culture - obsessed with impact against the mission

Additional requirements for this role include:
Previous, relevant and tangible global campaign leadership experience
Demonstrable international / multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity
A passion and enthusiasm for the sustainability/environmental sector
Flexibility, emotional intelligence, self-awareness and a thoughtful, tenacious and inspiring nature
