Acre is proud to be partnering with the Energy Saving Trust (EST), an organisation with a long history of success. Established in 1992, this independent organisation is focused on working to mitigate the climate emergency. EST's vision is to become an exemplar internationally, for energy reduction and sustainable water use. We are now engaged in finding a Group Director of Marketing & Communications, a role which will play an integral part in the future of the EST and its strategic direction.

In this highly strategic leadership role, you will be a key member of the senior management team reporting to the CEO. You'll be responsible for leading teams working across multiple interna­tional programmes and have extensive experience of working at C-suite and board level.


  • Owning and running all marketing and communications activities across the organisation
  • Contributing strategic knowledge across all areas of marketing and communications, including digital content, apps and website development
  • Managing a team of 21 (growing to 25) across multiple programmes and geographies with a focus on challenging team members to think and work differently
  • Engaging with the C-suite and board level colleagues and contacts with a commercial outlook and the gravitas to contribute and influence
  • Working in a collaborative, creative environment, with a smart and determined team of passionate individuals with a common vision to reduce the impact of climate change

You will be responsible for delivering a new strategic roadmap with focus on team structure and team support/development. Other focuses will be around digitalisation, PR and web devel­opment at a strategic level. You will lead the development of the organisation's values, mission and ambition in line with a com­mercial strategy targeting the growth of big impact projects.


  • Proven senior marketing management experience
  • Strong understanding of both B2B and B2C marketing techniques and practices across all communication channels, with a preference for B2B
  • Track record of driving and defining complex marketing strategy
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, challenge and develop an international team working across 28 programmes
  • An understanding of, or strong interest in sustainable development, the green economy and climate change
