The way we consume goods is changing. As consumers look at the way their products are produced, supply chains have come under increased scrutiny for their impact on the environment and the welfare of the producers.
Our client, a global FMCG, is undergoing a unique transformation, changing some of their core product market areas and setting globally ambitious targets around sustainability. Sitting in their Operations team, this exciting opportunity is focussed around eradicating poverty and significantly reducing the environmental impact of their supply chains; transitioning to carbon positive factories.
In addition to this, the organisation has set ambitious commitments to reach net zero deforestation and utilisation of traceable and sustainable firewood for processing. Since 2010, the organisation has reduced absolute carbon emissions by 36% and by 34% through the supply chain.
The Head of Environmental Sustainability - Operations will develop and coordinate the environmental sustainability strategy for operations, collaborating with internal functions including Sustainable Agriculture, Manufacturing Sustainability, and Sustainable Procurement, developing a coordinated roadmap to ensure the organisation delivers against its ambitious commitments.
If you are interested in working for an organisation undergoing ambitious transformation to become a future proof, sustainable business, and have experience in developing and delivering environmental sustainability agendas within other global FMCGs, please get in touch for an introductory conversation.
