An esteemed real assets investment manager has partnered with Acre to appoint a Head of ESG/Sustainability to join the London office, with £30bn+ in assets under management across Europe and internationally, this is an exciting leadership opportunity.

The investment funds consist of infrastructure assets such as utility networks and renewable energy assets including wind and solar, plus transport. Real estate is another component of the fund range portfolio including industrial, office and retail assets.

This is an important remit for the business, whereby the Head of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) will build upon the organisation’s already strong commitment to sustainability and to being a responsible investor.

Innovative sustainable solutions addressing climate change risks, the transition to a low carbon economy and to create positive social impact; will be the catalyst to success in this appointment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing ESG strategy, policy and performance targets through to implementation
  • Working closely with fund managers colleagues throughout the investment lifecycle to further embed sustainability into the investment process
  • Leading and mentoring a sustainability team
  • Managing key external relationships with consultants on ESG issues, including third party managing agents
  • External leadership through speaking at conferences and contributing to industry initiatives
  • Internal thought leadership to further drive ESG integration
  • Presenting to the board and contributing to investment meetings
