Acre is partnering with a well-known Principal Contractor in Central London to work on one of the UK's largest Infrastructure projects as a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Advisor.
You will have responsibility for acting as an advisor, facilitator and champion of HSE delivery within the organisation. There will be a requirement to provide local advice and support to assist managers to fulfill safety responsibilities to the highest standards.
You will also be responsible for:
Regularly gathering discovery feedback from the workforce and communicating through to management
Supporting, coordinating & leading (when necessary) the investigation of accidents, including high potential incidents to ensure effective learning outcomes and close of actions
Ensuring implementation of the Safety Management System including compliance with all relevant statutory provisions
Supporting and facilitating the delivery of H&S principles across the site and measure H&S performance against strategic deliverables
To be successful, you will need to have experience of working on civil engineering projects. As equally important is an understanding of behavioural safety techniques and the significance of a people focused safety culture. As such, an understanding into Safety Differently would be viewed very favourably.
You will need to have:
NEBOSH (or equivalent) General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
IOSH Membership, ideally at Grad level
The ability to coach and train employees to improve safety performance
Excellent engagement and listening skills in order to encourage open communications
