Acre are pleased to have been retained by CBRE, a globally renowned commercial real estate, investment and facilities management business. Acre have been engaged to identify a new Director of HSEQ for their Local Facilities Management (LFM) division. This is a senior and influential position and will be accountable to the divisional President with a dotted line EMEA Director of QHSE.

CBRE work with a wide variety of clients, including global organisations with high-risk facilities within the manufacturing, pharma and consumer goods industries. As such, we are looking to speak with individuals who have experience and an appreciation of working in a similar high-risk environment.

This is a very important and varied role, identifying, developing and ensuring the divisional strategy is fully aligned with the group's overarching goals and vision. You will also ensure collaborative working partnerships with various key internal stakeholders, clients and supply chain partners to ensure working practices are best-in-class across the whole team.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, manage and review business strategies to ensure plans and objectives are in line with and support the wider CBRE Group
  • Provide the focal point for specialist strategic expertise and ensure appropriate day-to-day support and guidance to the team, supply partners and customers
  • Direct the team to confirm delivery of relevant QHSE management system audits which are designed to maintain compliance with both business and Group policy and strategy
  • Manage the business resource requirements while leading and facilitating necessary dialogue with clients to ensure appropriate specialist resources are always in place
  • Direct, lead and support the development of initiatives and best practice activities in all areas of QHSE management while promoting and maintaining CBRE behaviours and values
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the training strategy

The successful candidate will have strong business acumen, exceptional communication and engagement skills, combined with the ability to develop long-term positive relationships. You will be highly adaptable and resilient to ensure success across a growing, agile, and fast-paced environment.

The successful individual will also have:

  • Senior health and safety experience, operating at a strategic and highly influential level
  • The ability to motivate, develop and manage high performing teams
  • A creative, open minded and optimistic approach to clients and business
  • The ability to influence and build lasting relationships across senior stakeholders
  • A formal management qualification in health and safety and ideally environment
