An innovative, global not-for-profit has partnered with Acre in their search for a Membership Engagement Manager to support vital work with local and regional governments in the EMEA region. This person will work closely with cities, states and regions to liaise on environmental reporting processes, as well as manage strategic partnerships, identifying opportunities for growth and further collaboration.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring continued annual participation in the environmental reporting programme
  • Identifying and helping establish key strategic partnerships
  • Developing proposals to secure funding from governments and philanthropic sources
  • Presenting the organisation's vision to a wide range of high-level stakeholders through round tables, webinars and events

You will also oversee a small team spread throughout the EMEA region, allowing you to travel internationally meeting with local governments and stakeholders, while engaging with the team directly.

Experience Required:

  • Knowledge of the issues around greenhouse gas accounting and reduction, with a focus on the built environment
  • A proven track record in fundraising and proposal development
  • Ability to interact effectively with high level management and government officials
  • Project management experience and proven track record of successful delivery
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English (with French as a desirable second language)

This is a fixed-term role for 12 months, offering a unique opportunity to support high-impact projects contributing towards a zero-carbon future.
