Acre is working with a business association which brings together the CEOs of the world's leading retailers and consumer goods manufacturers. Together, they drive collaboration to have a positive impact on consumer health, food safety and sustainability in the industry.

In order to continue the successes that they have had, they are looking to appoint a Project Manager to focus on Sustainability in Supply Chain. In this role, you will work with the senior management teams of some of the world's biggest companies, developing and implementing the programme, benchmarking success, and engaging key external stakeholders. The initiative is designed to improve comparability and harmonisation of third-party certification schemes / auditors, covering both food and non-food consumer goods.

You’ll be involved in :

  • Developing and implementing the initiative’s strategic objectives with the Steering Committee
  • Monitoring the impact of the initiative
  • Coordinating the benchmark process of schemes
  • Managing working groups and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Managing the relationships with members and third-party auditors
  • Supporting communication to prospects, members and stakeholders

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of professional experience in the area of compliance, procurement, sustainability or auditing
  • A solid understanding of the consumer goods industry and the challenges it faces
  • Understanding of ethical sourcing issues and approaches and of the social compliance landscape
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
