Acre's sustainable investing team are currently working with one of the world's most progressive investment groups building out a new team. This team that will deliver sustainability driven analysis to optimise their long-term investment strategy and launch new products.

Following successful integration of ESG factors into the day to day investment process, the new team will deliver in-depth, high quality proprietary research across all asset classes, sectors and geographies.

This research will highlight issues, challenges, solutions and opportunities across five megatrends: Demography, Natural Resources, Data Revolution, Climate Change and Inequality. The focus of this team will be to ensure the ongoing relevance of the five megatrends as well as re-evaluating & redefining themes as the global economy changes over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing quantitative platforms from scratch
  • Analysing large data sets using quantitative tools
  • Critically evaluating and comparing different sources of information
  • Working within a collaborative, team-driven environment

The team will be at the forefront of how the group position themselves commercially and build excellent working relationships with the investment teams and work with them in close collaboration to ensure that the roadmaps add value to their investment agendas.

Experiences Sought:

  • Advanced programming skills (Python, Matlab or C++)
  • PhD or master's degree in a STEM subject
  • Ability to build analytical models
  • Ability to conduct independent research using large data sets
  • An interest or experience in responsible finance is highly desirable but essential

In this role you will leverage your quantitative techniques and knowledge of the finance sector to ensure responsible analysis on these megatrends to influence and impact investment decisions.
