Acre is pleased to support a global law firm in their search for a Responsible Business and ESG Manager to join their growing and ambitious global team. This individual will play a pivotal role in defining, developing and implementing responsible business and ESG best practice, sharing the firm's ambition to establish themselves as global thought leaders in sustainability, fostering their innovative and inclusive culture.

The Role

In this newly created opportunity, which reports into the Director of Responsible Business and operates across more than forty countries globally, you will:

  • Work collaboratively with the Director and team to refine and implement the responsible business and ESG strategy, underpinned through the execution of a materiality assessment and engagement with key stakeholders
  • Develop relevant policies and a best practice reporting plan that integrates ESG into the wider responsible business and sustainability strategy
  • Liaise with the responsible business and pro bono teams to develop a monitoring and evaluation framework for global programmes
  • Build strong internal relationships to cultivate and grow awareness and understanding of ESG and responsible business

Your Experience

You'll share the organisation's ambition to establish a best in class responsible business and ESG strategy and be able to underpin your passion with a demonstrable track record in sustainability. You will have:

  • The ability to adapt and work agilely within a client-focused global professional services firm
  • A commercial, creative and pragmatic approach to tackling ESG and responsible business paired with a collaborative working style
  • Experience of ESG and responsible business reporting processes; able to bring additional knowledge of effective measurement and evaluation frameworks
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, both internally and externally, with the power to catalyse change
  • Relevant technical and educational qualifications, including a degree or advanced degree in, for example: sustainability, corporate responsibility, environmental management etc
