Acre is delighted to partner with one of the UK's leading fresh produce suppliers in their search for a Responsible Sourcing Advisor.

This individual will support the organisations continually improving social and environmental sustainability program in areas of greatest impact across their supply chains. Working with suppliers and internal teams, you will have a key role in ensuring workers within the organisations global supply chains are treated fairly and that responsibility is taken for environmental impacts and the communities they impact upon.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Monitoring suppliers' compliance to the Responsible sourcing code of conduct
  • Reviewing supplier certifications to ethical, social and environmental standards
  • Work with technical teams to follow up outstanding non-compliance and ensure resolution within critical timeframes
  • Assist in the delivery of the businesses Modern Slavery program implementing systems to identify, mitigate and if found remedy instances of modern slavery within global supply chains

This is a newly created role reporting to the Senior Sustainability Manager, leading on social and environmental best practice with wide-ranging impact across challenging supply chains.

Experience Required:

  • Excellent understanding of responsible sourcing practices in similar sectors
  • Experience using Sedex or similar sustainability data management platforms
  • Excellent written communication skills; and experience of working with and interpreting complex data sets related to responsible sourcing
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills with an ethical and transparent approach to working
