Acre is pleased to be in partnership with the International Tin Association in their search for a Responsible Trade Programme Manager for their ITA Tin Supply Chain Initiative (iTSCi).
iTSCi works to allow metal users to source responsibly and avoid total disengagement from high risk areas, while ensuring that miners continue to benefit from access to market.
In this role you will be responsible for making unique and credible information available to businesses, government, enabling them to take appropriate and effective decisions on due diligence and steps towards progressive improvement.
Managing the implementation of the iTSCi including traceability processes, data input and analysis
Managing ITSCI implementation team, including regular review of performance to improve accuracy and accessibility of data, planning and monitoring the iTSCi team budget and working with strategic service partners to drive improvements
Managing incoming reports and audits from the field and evaluating them against legislation and the organisation's code of conduct
Assisting in communication with governments, companies, media and other stakeholders to support uptake and confidence in the implementation of ITSCI procedures through in-person meetings, training and engagement
Reviewing high level risk incident reports, engaging with key stakeholders to manage concerns related to traceability, as well as ensuring production trends are identified and reported to drive resolution of errors
In this role you will be working as part of a joint initiative of governmental authorities, companies and civil society organisations operating in the mining sector to ensure traceability of the minerals and to prevent human rights abuses, violation of norms of security, corruption and fraud.
You will have:
A high-level of attention to detail with a practical, diligent approach to managing complex issues
Experience working with complex data sets to derive meaningful conclusions
Experience communicating with senior stakeholders and supply chain engagement
Developed communication skills with experience in writing with relevance and impact to different audiences
