Acre is pleased to be partnering with GridBeyond, a rapidly scaling smart grid business whose world class technology uses machine learning and linear optimisation to optimise energy use in the complex energy market, in their search for a Sales Director to drive strategic growth in their UK and Ireland regions.

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the sales team to drive delivery of GridBeyond's solutions and products to market. You will be accountable for the strategic oversight of the full 360 sales cycle, from client engagement to the communication strategy.

As a market leader in Demand Side Response technologies, GridBeyond's award-winning technology platform automatically adjusts customers power consumption and generation in real-time to balance the Grid and optimise their on-site energy performance. Following a highly successful partnership with Irish Utilities ESB and a significant period of investment, GridBeyond are seeking a Sales Director to support this self-sustaining business in this exciting period of pure growth.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing new business opportunities from existing and new clients to meet ambitious business objectives
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting account relationships through positioning as a trusted advisor with industry and technical expertise
  • Working across the senior leadership team to develop the overall business plan and budgets and identify potential areas for growth across multiple sales channels
  • Ensuring the success of the regional sales team by driving identification and growth of opportunities within their territories

The successful individual will have the ability to inspire and lead the existing, experienced sales team through both demonstrable high achievement in sales and an agile, 'hands on' approach to engagement. You will ideally be currently working within energy market and have an existing network relevant to GridBeyond.

Requirements include:

  • Previous experience in B2B sales in a senior capacity, with a proven track record of commercial success
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, collaborative and creative environment
  • Experience of leading a successful sales team through effective management and support
  • Proven ability to find and develop strategic relationships, with demonstrable evidence of contracts and continual revenue delivery
  • An authoritative, resourceful and results driven personality
