Acre have partnered with a growing and global materials manufacturer in Dallas, Texas to source a new Senior Director of Global EHS. Our client operates on three continents and has ambition to establish a first-in-class safety and environmental program.

This senior leadership role will have responsibility for a small, dynamic team of technical safety and environmental professionals which will require expertise in mentoring and coaching support. You will be an established and well-respected EHS professional with corporate health and safety expertise and the ability to work alongside and influence key senior leadership.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Development and implementation of the organization's domestic and global EHS strategy
  • Advising, guiding and coaching personnel on the implementation of corporate-wide EHS Policies and Global Management Systems
  • Acting as the face EHS within the organization and across multiple projects; providing advice and assistance to executive team leadership, project teams and managers on EHS matters
  • Leading the development and implementation of company-wide safety initiatives and environmental campaigns
  • Managing and mentoring an ambitious and growing team of EHS professionals
  • Tangible success building innovative and impactful EHS programs

Selected candidates for this new position will have extensive manufacturing and lean management experience. You will have proven expertise in change management and provide examples of influencing strategic direction within businesses whilst maintaining a positive relationship with senior stakeholders throughout the organization.

Specific requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or related field
  • Success hiring, mentoring and managing complex teams
  • Previous multi-site responsibility and ability to travel up to 30%
  • Experience with OHSAS 18001 or ISO 14001 management systems implementation
  • Direct experience working with local and international officials
  • Comfortable speaking at conferences, engaging and charismatic
  • A strong understanding or previous experience managing a large budget
