We are currently seeking an experienced research analyst to join one of the worlds most progressive investment managers. This position will focus on how changing demographics and levels of income inequality will lead to previously unrecognised risks AND opportunities for investors.

This forward-looking analysis is a critical step in understanding if companies' performance is repeatable and sustainable over the long term. It starts with the identification of these mega trends, that will shape our economic and social outcomes over the same timeframe:

  • Demographics
  • Natural Resources
  • Data Revolution
  • Climate Change
  • Inequality
  • Within each of these mega trends, the team will map out the likely path of future development to better understand which sectors will be impacted, and how. This, in turn, will identify opportunities that can be translated into investment themes. The team works across the firm, delivering in-depth, high quality proprietary research & analysis across all asset classes, sectors and geographies.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Analyse the mega-trends associated with demographics and income inequality, their drivers, associated sustainability challenges and potential solutions
    • Structure the investment framework that will help in identifying investment opportunity at sectors/company levels
    • Work with all Investment teams across all strategies to help screen companies
    • Conduct industry and value chain analysis
    • Conduct competitive and peer group analyses
    • Maintain research databases and processes used to identify investment prospects
    • Produce investment research papers and presentations focusing on trends, themes and investment consequences

If you have in depth research experience within one or more of these areas and would like to work within an investment business focused on using sustainability themes as the core driver of their long-term investment value creation for clients, please get in touch today.
