Fairtrade Foundation is changing the lives of farmers and workers globally, driving sustainable livelihoods, empowering producers and making trade fair. They do this by acting as the primary driver for the global Fairtrade movement, working with businesses, consumers and campaigners to make trade deliver.
As an innovative, independent non-profit, Fairtrade Foundation deliver change by helping businesses certify their supply chains, grow demand for Fairtrade products, strengthening relationships in supply chains, and working with donor, commercial partners to develop programmes and campaigns to deliver goals and raise awareness.
This is an exciting opportunity to join as a Senior Technical Lead as the organisation continues to grow and nears completion of its 2016-2020 strategy, 'Changing Trade, Changing Lives'. Acre are leading the search for an energetic leader with the ability to think strategically at a global scale and to translate strategy into effective action.
Develop global strategies and supporting theories of change to ensure the Fairtrade Foundation's Programmes are at the leading edge of systems thinking, driving the systems and thought leadership to ensure these strategies deliver impact
Co-create collaborative projects and interventions including from conceptualisation and design, through to programme set up
Lead in building high-leverage partnerships and relationships with global organisations critical to delivering change Fairtrade aims to deliver
Be the cross functional expert internally upskilling teams crucial to delivery, and represent the Fairtrade Foundation at the highest levels, including national and international conferences, seminars and meetings.
Collaborate with the Commercial Directorate to build an integrated income generation strategy and inspire high value and high impact partners to engage with a clear compelling vision for programmes to be funded
Empower and support your team of 3, recruiting and developing any new starters
Reporting into the Head of Programme Partnerships, you will understand how to drive collaborative, systemic change processes within global food supply chains, with a track record in generating the financial resources needed to deliver Fairtrade Foundation and partner ambitions.
You will also have:
Technical understanding of development economics, environmental, climate change and development policy issues
Experience raising funds from Private Sector, institutional donors and government or multilateral organisations
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels internally and externally, including c-suite
Proven ability to write and edit complex funding proposals
Your ability to foster and maintain ambitious long-term partnerships will enable Fairtrade Foundation to tackle major issues within global food supply chains, and directly impact the lives of workers and farmers across the globe.
