Sancroft is seeking a Consultant to work with a wide range of clients, from global corporations to small start-ups. The ideal candidate will be someone with a generalist understanding of sustainability consulting who wants to join a small but purpose-driven team.

This role is varied, but focuses on:

  • Client service

  • Client acquisition

  • Organisational development

Responsibilities

Account management for specified clients:

  • Delivery of services for clients and overseeing colleagues' work in relation to project delivery

  • Work together with colleagues to identify client needs and draft and deliver a suitable response

  • Client project management, including managing the scope of work, allocating resources, adhering to time and budget limitations and ensuring billing and other administration is carried out

  • Review, evaluate and improve client relationships over time

Service delivery:

  • Developing and sharing a high level of expertise in connection to relevant sustainability topics, and supporting colleagues' ability to utilise this expertise

  • Contribute to colleagues' client projects as part of project teams as and when required

New business development:

  • Meet business development targets by working together with colleagues to identify and shape opportunities

  • Reach out to prospective clients via events and networking, writing or other thought leadership activities, and sales activities

  • Identify opportunities to create new lines of service for Sancroft clients

  • Assist in the implementation of sector-based new business strategy

Organisational development:

  • Support junior colleagues to develop and grow their capabilities.

  • Support marketing efforts through blog/social media and other channels as directed under the sales and marketing plan

  • Constructively engage and contribute to internal systems development and company strategy

  • Share knowledge with colleagues to ensure they are informed of activities and developments via team meetings and other environments

Essential knowledge, skills and experience

  • Minimum three years relevant experience

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject area

  • Excellent working knowledge of a range of corporate sustainability topics and issues

  • Good project management skills

  • Good existing network in the sustainability sector and relevant target industries

  • Excellent team working skills

  • Entrepreneurial mindset

  • Coordination and organisational skills to manage many projects and clients

  • Excellent communication skills with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders

  • Strong work ethic and integrity - being able to keep oversight in a fast-paced working environment and work collaboratively yet focused

  • Be a 'people person' - keen on building relationships and enjoy liaising with different audiences
