The team is global, the impact is significant, and now Land Life is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager.

This is the role:

Land Life is looking for a seasoned and charismatic Senior Business Development Manager with a strong focus on growing the new business pipeline and bringing on quality commercial long-term partnerships. The Senior Business Development Manager will also manage the overall pipeline and significantly contribute to the development of scalable commercial activities. As a fast-growing company on a mission to maximize environmental and social impact, this role is critical to helping Land Life achieve their growth targets.

Land Life works with some of the world's leading corporations, making this a very fast-paced and exciting role. The evolving carbon market and increasing attention to nature-based solutions present a dynamic opportunity for the person in this role to work with the team to develop creative solutions for clients and contribute directly to global goals. This position will engage extensively with prospects and customers. As such, command of the Land Life proposition, market context, and an ability to foster productive and honest relationships is a must.

This role is based in Amsterdam and reports to the Head of Business Development. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Business Development: Bring on new clients

  • Strong focus on bringing in new business from your network and generating leads

  • Build out and further develop existing accounts

  • Scope, compile proposals, negotiate, and close deals with large corporates and financial institutions

  • Directly contribute to Land Life's revenue targets

  • Oversee E2E pipeline activity

Lead and support sales efforts to prospective, large corporate clients, including:

  • Overall pipeline management for the entire commercial operation (e.g. pipeline reporting, forecasting)

  • Supporting contracting, including coordination with finance and legal internally and with the client

  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams (e.g. operations) to ensure Land Life's ability to meet customer requirements for new sales

Job Requirements

The following outlines the target profile; however, Land Life is interested in candidates from a variety of backgrounds who are excited about what Land Life does and possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years experience in B2B sales

  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets

  • End-to-end experience with the full sales cycle

  • Proven track record of managing and closing large-scale projects (min. >1mio)

  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with organizations at Director and C-Suite levels

  • Ability to understand, communicate, and sell complex products

  • Ability to understand and consider all stakeholder requirements

  • Familiarity with the sustainability landscape, either from a previous role, education, or genuine interest in current global initiatives

  • Proactive, impact-oriented, creative, and innovative approach to business development

  • Analytic and strategic mind in combination with a pragmatic, hands-on approach

  • Network of sustainability roles at large corporates and financial funds a plus

  • Willingness to travel as needed

  • Requirement: You are fluent in English and Dutch, with strong English writing skills, as all proposals and contracts are written in English

  • Requirement: You must be authorized to work in the Netherlands
