We are proud to bring the most extensive offering of sustainability jobs to the marketplace, which you can find here.
Helping find and hire talented professionals for all areas of investment, distribution, risk and research in banking and finance, and influential leaders to help push forward sustainable investment and corporate citizenship agendas.
We’re constantly searching for the best new talent in health, safety & environment, augmenting our already impressive network with leaders who can drive cultural change. Our expert and experienced consultants, backed by our unique Acre Frameworks assessments and objective non-technical data, have a strong track record of placing senior HSE executives at world-leading organisations.
We partner with forward thinking and world-leading corporates, power producers, consultancies and technology innovators in the energy ecosystems to attract, recruit and retain talented renewable energy and clean technology professionals.
Our expertise focuses on those shaping change through developing and implementing compelling strategy, policies and campaigns across the following disciplines and functions: Reputation and Issues Management, Public Affairs and Government Relations, Stakeholder and Community Engagement.
Acre works with a range of non-profit organisations to help drive programmes around sustainability related initiatives. This includes charities, foundations, membership bodies and multi-stakeholder-initiatives (MSIs).
Acre worked very effectively on the recruitment of sustainability and environment professionals for European and UK operations. Acre got a good grasp of our needs, and played an important role in the selection and appointment of a number of key individuals in to our organisation.
We had been looking to fill a difficult role for 2 years and had been through several rounds of interviewing without success. With their networking and specialist knowledge of the area, Acre were able to find a number of talented candidates which led to a successful appointment.
As trawlermen the world over will attest, you're going to get a better catch if someone knows where the fish are to be found. When it comes to recruitment, Acre appear to know not just where the fish are, but the specific type of fish you are searching for in particular. We were delighted with the recruitment process and the high-calibre candidates it produced. Great service as well.
Acre was the only specialist search firm able to assist with our CSR search requirement. They were professional and extremely knowledgeable and we would not have been able to hire the talent we did without their expert assistance.
I have worked with Acre, for several years, to secure sustainability experts. I have found their capacity to understand the assignments, rapidly identify and match potential candidates - and then smooth the way to successful appointments - to be outstanding.

How Can Successful Stewardship be Meaningfully Reported?
On 3 March, Helen Pradas-Page convened a roundtable centred around the new UK Stewardship Code 2020; which is key to how investment can bring about a more sustainable future to benefit the economy and wider society. The event was attended by leading figures from across the capital market ecosystem; asset owners, investment consultants, asset managers, civil society leaders and regulators. Our whitepaper summarising the discussion is available here.
Remote Recruitment Series
Acre have been conducting a series of interviews to learn more about how our clients have found the virtual recruitment process during the current climate. We spoke with Francis Sullivan, Board Member for ResponsibleSteel, who has been part of the process to recruit their new CEO. To watch the full interview, please read more.
Buying Our Way Into Trouble – Is Procurement Keeping Pace In The Modern World?
Acre's Tom Townsend, Senior Consultant | EMEA, spent time with two leading procurement experts, talking through different areas – he wanted to find out whether procurement is tackling these issues well and whether there was a more fundamental problem with how teams are focused on competing priorities. In order to get a balanced perspective, he spoke with Dave Howson, Procurement Risk & Sustainability Director at Coty and Angus McIntosh, former Chief Procurement Officer at Beiersdorf.
